i was having a very interesting conversation with a co-worker that is a "born-again christian" and is a very nice guy.
he is very hard-working and everybody loves him to death.
one reason i like him so much is because he lives the role of a christian and not just "announce" every 5 minutes that he is born-again like alot of christians i know.

I'm a Christian and I don't agree with this comment at all!! Romans chapter 1,2 ,3 and 4 clear states that those who live by the law will be judged by the law (meaning the jews) and those who belive in Christ will be judged by Christ. I don't for one second think that the jews will all burn in hell. We will all be judged according to what we truely believe. Read the first 4 chapters of Romans and see for yourself.

Why not date and see how things develop? Relationships depend on so much more than age. If you are attracted to her and have enough things in common to hold a decent conversation I would say go for it. 40 is by no means old!!

You have the right to be happy!! Remember that men are not very good at mind reading. If you want something you have to tell him. It's also easy to see all the faults your husband has if there is a "true love" offering support. You should be talking to your husband about your feelings not a third party.
i have been speaking to my mom about the wbts a lot lately.
last night while discussing the fact that 1914 is now missing from the "awake" masthead (something she never noticed .
she thinks if i write to the gb they will send me a nice neat explenation and that it will all be better and she then can go on thinking that the jw have it all!.
I wish I could shake all the jw out of her! She keeps on jumping from one topic ton another and feel like a ref trying to keep the topic going. As soon as she can't answer a question she jumps on to another topic! All I really wanted to do was plant that seed of doubt anf I'm sure I've done that. When she said that she will wait for Jah to sort it out I asked how long she will wait? She just said "we'll see". See what I don't know. She tells me how many studies she has and how much she enjoys pioneering!! I wish she would stop wasting her time. I'm so frustrated I think I'm going to give it a break, I don't have the strength to reason with her anymore.
How do you all cope with family that are still in the borg? Am I wasting my time trying to get her out?

this has happened to me many times in my life, that i knew when something important had or was about to happen to us or ours....or i could sense that one of 'us' was in trouble or 'lost' to us all.. i was irritable and 'strange' on sunday morning.
finally i said to my husband and elder children that 'someone has died'.
to be honest, i didn't know who, but just that someone had gone.
It happens to me too, it was something I kept very quite while I was in the borg. Now I just go along with it and my hubby has learnt to listen to my sixth sense. Don't know what it is or how it happens.

I have been speaking to my mom about the WBTS a lot lately. Last night while discussing the fact that 1914 is now missing from the "Awake" masthead (something she never noticed ) she told me I should write to the GB and ask them why they made a promise in God's name and then changed it with out even an "oops sorry we stuffed up". I got her to agree that God cannot be happy about it, and that God does not change His promises and the GB are wrong to have done this. This was a major break through unitl she said that she will wait on Jah to sort it out!!!!

I think I should write to them and then when I don't get an answer or they send the elders after me I can tell my mom what their response was!

well it has finally happened.my wife is not going back to the meetings again.as you would probably read in my previous posts, i have written a book about my experience in the watchtower organisation which is on the verge of being published.she still tried to cling to what little belief she had in the borg and did not want to read my manuscript.we discussed many of the issues and concerns i had about the watchtower but most of the times it ended in a heated argument.. i was quite surprised when she approached me about two weeks ago and asked to read my manuscript.after reading it she handed it back to me and said she fully supports me in publishing this book.her eyes have been opened to the deception and lies.i think she and a friend had a bad experience calling on one of her so-called jw friends.furthermore, she did not attend this past weekends circuit assembly..
hooray!!!.
all i have to do now is to introduce her to all you wonderful people here on jwd.. jakes.

i'm trying to find copies of the golden age, specifically from the years 1925-1930. there seems to have been some really outrageous stuff published during those years, which i would like to be able to verify.
i found this site which has links to high-quality scans of most issues, but the 1925-1930 period is missing.
if anyone has copies (electronic or otherwise), or knows where to find some, please contact me!
